It’s on phase of proposal and planning, the creation of a new railway axis, along 2.500 km., that it would connect the ports of Algesiras, Valencia, Tarragona, Barcelona, through one shunting line privileged on the port of Marseilles continuing for the industrial areas of Norbonne, Lione, Metz with projection on Paris and arrival to the centre of the Germany in the city of Duisburg. The line intersects then with inner the navigable ways of the Rodano and the Reno.
The sponsors of the initiative have gathered in one only society, called Fermed, and are the Spanish Authorities that wont to divert them the traffic of the Mediterranean’s sea, operating logistic, subject manufacturers, the fluvial port of Duisburg, all support from part of the Spanish railroads (Renfe) and from those French (Companies to you DES chemins de fer). The trains will be able to have one length of approximately 1.500 meters for the transport of goods and container, being caught up one average speed of 160 km.
Of fact, this new railway line would cut out the Italian ports that would become " not comfortable" to logistic level in Europe.
This plan has the scope to shunt, on the new railway line, more of 20% of naval traffic transporting merchandises designated to the European market, and would service the 49% of the European population that creates 60% of the EU inside movement of moneys.
